T.G.I. Fridays Frozen Mozzarella Sticks

T.G.I. Fridays Frozen Mozzarella Sticks- 5/10 crowns As seen by the Nathan's mozzarella sticks fiasco, store brands are on shaky ground for me. However, these mozzarella sticks were pleasantly surprising! The flavor was present and overall good for a brand that you can buy for little coins at ShopRite. The breading: The breading on these mozzarella sticks (as described on the box), was an even coating of panko breading, and while I have tasted better breadcrumbs (Edison Diner wya), the taste was pretty good. I can get behind these mozzarella sticks. The cheese: The cheese, while good, was not stringy, and that is something that I enjoy and expect when trying mozzarella sticks. Because these mozzarella sticks were shaped more like rectangles instead of cylinders, there was more cheese overall, but if you don't heat them up long enough, they might be soggy. The sauce: The sauce definitely had a distinct flavor, and even though I can appreciate it in small amounts, the tas

Nathan's Mozzarella Sticks

Nathan's Mozzarella Sticks- 3.5/10 crowns While these mozzarella sticks did in fact have some  flavor, it was minimal and overall similar to the school mozzarella sticks with a skosh more flavor and minus the sauce. Also, be warned that when put into the toaster oven, most of the cheese comes out of the breading and you are left with a hollow bread shell. The breading: The breading was overall bland, but not school level bland. There was some flavor but it was largely hidden by the disappointment from the cheese coming out. If you are looking for flavor, you would be better off upgrading to the more expensive (but well worth the price) Farm Rich brand. The cheese: I really do not have much to share about this cheese. The taste was lacking and it was not stringy. Whatever was left in the actual mozzarella stick left a lot to be desired. The sauce: Not available, and probably for the better. In conclusion, I probably would not spend my own money on these unless I had the su

School Mozzarella Sticks

School Mozzarella Sticks- 2/10 crowns Alright, so for school mozzarella sticks, these are definitely edible. Are they good? No. Am I still going to eat them all? Absolutely. School is typically known as the place where food dies but these were pretty decent all things considered. I do not have many positive words to share about this experience, but I have tasted worse. The breading: The panko breading was bland for the most part and unimpressive, though I did not have any strong negative feelings towards it. There is little to be excited about. The cheese: This cheese was not it. Not stringy, this cheese was also bland but not at all unpleasant. The sauce: This sauce was easily the most potent part of the whole experience. There was a slight kick to the flavor, and it was had a slight tang to the taste. In general, this sauce was not bad, but do not be surprised to get a stomach ache if you eat too much. In conclusion, I would not spend money on these but I would eat all of

The Edison Diner Mozzarella Sticks

The Edison Diner's Mozzarella Sticks- 10/10 crowns These mozzarella sticks are, as I can honestly say, the best I have ever had in my life. There are many factors that go into making the perfect mozzarella stick, and it seems as though the Edison Diner has mastered this art. The breading: The breading coating, aside from being crisp, is flavorful, topped with oregano flakes fried to make the every crunch savory. The outside is golden brown, and the first bite does not disappoint. The quality is worth the money. The cheese: The cheese is gooey, and is high quality because it doesn't snap when you pull it away. The string cheese simply relents and forms a long strand. The sauce: For an American food diner, this sauce is better than what actual Italian restaurants have to offer. There are many different seasonings that make the flavor potent, yet not overpowering. It is of a medium consistency, making the diner finish the cup. In conclusion, I would pay eight whole dolla
