 Texas Roadhouse Twisted Mozzarella- 6/10 crowns   I am once again telling you I'm sure of what you're  thinking. Mozzarella sticks... Texas Roadhouse? And, sure, you would be right, this is certainly an odd combination. I come here for the onion flower, not mozzarella sticks. I think cheddar, not mozzarella. But you know what? These were actually decent. Worth the try, if you will. The breading: Jumping right into things, these were obviously frozen. Like, there's not going to be a sad employee in the kitchen breading twisted mozzarella cheese sticks with the bread crumbs. No. But it seemed to have a distinctive breading look instead of the fried coating which we are familiar with. Good start. ***Also! The picture on the website shows a twisted mozzarella stick shape. I have never seen that before, and still did not see them when i got my order, so that was misleading. Chili's Fried Mozzarella

 Chili's Fried Mozzarella- 2/10 crowns Anyone who knows me knows I am a Chili's enthusiast, but I cannot stand by this decision. Chili's removing the cheese bites from the menu is absolutely heinous and when I discovered that (unfortunately it ruined some of the glamour of Barbz Day) I literally think I may have hyperventilated in the restaurant. Anyway, this post is about the mozzarella sticks as their own entity, not in relation to the cheese bites. In that case, they would get a 0/10 rating.  The breading: Easily the best part of this experience. I thought the flavor was good enough and was crispy, even when I ordered them to-go for my second trial.  The cheese: This is definitely where Chili's loses me. For a Tex-Mex restaurant I don't think these match the theme at all. Even mozzarella sticks themselves are questionable. But these are thick pieces of fried mozzarella. Chili's Crispy Cheddar Bites

  Chili's Crispy Cheddar Bites- 9.5/10 We are once again interrupting the normal flow of mozzarella content to bring you: Chili's cheddar bites. These are so so good. Period. Let's just get into it. The breading: The breading on these is simply a crispy outer shell, and there is nothing wring with that in this context. Especially because miss chili tops them with a blend of spices. I really can't handle any spice and will mostly eat mild buffalo wings with tears in my eyes, but the combination and amount of spices makes for the right mix.  The cheese: If you get these right from the kitchen (as I have on several occasions) and you don't eat the whole thing in one bite, you might actually get something of a cheese pull, good job, Chili. Obviously, this is a mozzarella blog and these are cheddar cheese bites but this is my blog and I love it here so they stay. ***That being said, I will probably rate any kind of fried cheese to cross my path.
