I was fortunate enough to visit Wildwood during my birthday month of October (the best month) and get to see the island during the off-season in beautiful weather and with less crowds. I also got to go back to some favorite spots, with much shorter lines, this place being one of them! 


The breading: A simple fried outer coating that was somewhat bland but did not taste bad. Not playing in their favor, but not working against them.


The cheese: Once again, bland! The cheese was not notable in any way and there was no cheese pill at all.


The sauce: This was easily the best part of the experience and makes up a decent part of the score (especially because the dish of marinara was huge). This sauce was seasoned and flavorful and I did not want to eat a bite of mozzarella stick without dipping first! I was not expecting the sauce to be so good from a breakfast cafe, but was happy to be proved wrong. 


I have tried many diners and breakfast places on the island, and I think Jellyfish is one of the cutest. The vibes and theme are adorable, the staff is so nice, and the food is good! I can get on board with $7 for six mozzarella sticks, especially when they are available at 10am. I look forward to getting these again next summer!

 Texas Roadhouse Twisted Mozzarella- 6/10 crowns   I am once again telling you I'm sure of what you're  thinking. Mozzarella sticks... Texas Roadhouse? Chili's Fried Mozzarella

 Chili's Fried Mozzarella- 2/10 crowns Anyone who knows me knows I am a Chili's enthusiast, but I cannot stand by this decision. Chili's removing the cheese bites from the menu is absolutely heinous and when I discovered that (unfortunately it ruined some of the glamour of Barbz Day) I literally think I may have hyperventilated in the restaurant. Anyway, this post is about the mozzarella sticks as their own entity, not in relation to the cheese bites. In that case, they would get a 0/10 rating.  The breading: Easily the best part of this experience. I thought the flavor was good enough and was crispy, even when I ordered them to-go for my second trial.  The cheese: This is definitely where Chili's loses me. IHOP's Mozzarella Sticks- 7/10 crowns These are literally the *same* exact mozzarella sticks as Applebee's. I should just redirect you to that review. Speaking of  which ... Also, does that mean that IHOP is breakfast Applebee's?? The breading: Ok, girl, is there really much to say? Real bread crumbs. Good. The only thing about these breadcrumbs that isn't really my favorite is the cheese to breadcrumb ratio. There's no problem with having a lot of cheese, but my lactose a** would like more breadcrumbs to balance out the outrageous amount of dairy. The cheese: Anyway, so, the cheese always slaps. Even though my friend and I ordered takeout from the restaurant and ate them about twenty minutes after we picked them up, the cheese pull was still present.
