Tony’s Pizzeria Mozzarella Sticks

The breading: The breading on these was so sparse I could actually see the white of the cheese through it. Personally, I do not really like floppy mozzarella sticks so these did not hit the mark.


The cheese: The ratio on these was mostly cheese and I just don’t think it did them any favors. The cheese was bland, but the mozzarella sticks overall were bearable when warm.


The sauce: The sauce for these was ok! A little chunky and noticeably acidic, but I think it was a good addition to the plate!


Overall, I would not repurchase these. I spent $8.95 on FIVE mozzarella sticks and though they were larger than average, they were not good enough to justify the cost. Also, when they were cooled to a room temperature, they were so floppy and bad that I did not even bother to finish what was left in the tin.

Buffalo Wild Wings' Mozzarella Sticks- 7/10 crowns  I got these mozzarella sticks as part of the “Endless Apps” deal, in which you pay $10 and order bottomless apps (choose from 5), two platters at a time. My friends and I ordered three times, and got five platters of mozzarella sticks.   The breading: The breading was super crunchy and had a nice taste!  Texas Roadhouse Twisted Mozzarella- 6/10 crowns   I am once again telling you I'm sure of what you're  thinking. Mozzarella sticks... Texas Roadhouse? And, sure, you would be right, this is certainly an odd combination. I come here for the onion flower, not mozzarella sticks. I think cheddar, not mozzarella. But you know what? These were actually decent. Worth the try, if you will. The breading: Jumping right into things, these were obviously frozen. Like, there's not going to be a sad employee in the kitchen breading twisted mozzarella cheese sticks with the bread crumbs. Metuchen Diner Mozzarella Sticks- 6/10 crowns First things first, these mozzarella sticks definitely came from a box in the freezer. But they were good! I liked them and I thought the sauce had a goo flavor. Even the presentation was really nice  (should that be a category, too?). On to the review! The breading: The breading was crunchy, and I did like it. This type of breading, though not my favorite, has been growing on me, but I'm not sure if that's because it's the typical breading type on the mozzarella sticks from restaurants.
