Hello, friends. I am so sorry that I have been slacking lately. Let me assuage any worries you may have by assuring you that in that time I was still eating mozzarella sticks, and I have new reviews up my sleeves. Anyway, anyone who knows me knows I am a certified sl*t for the Hut and that I would drink the buffalo sauce that they use instead of marinara. Anywhosies, these were really good! I've never seen these on the menu before, so when I did, I screamed and instantly added to the cart.


The breading: The breading had a nice flavor! It was a thinner breading coating, kind of like Applebee's, but good. Not terrific, but solid. Definitely a frozen stick, but better than expected. 


The cheese: I actually liked this cheese, but there was no cheese pull. I will take the blame for that, as I did not eat them immediately. I feel like if I were to eat these as soon as I picked them up, they would have been better. 


The marinara: This marinara was not my favorite, it had a sweet flavor. Though I dipped the stick in the sauce several times, I just can't make up my mind about this sauce. Like I said, not a favorite, but I have tried worse for the sake of this blog (looking at you, B*rger K*ng). 


Antyway, these were a solid choice. Eight mozzarella sticks for less than six dollars. Good job, Pizza Hut. I will be returning for these.

 Texas Roadhouse Twisted Mozzarella- 6/10 crowns   I am once again telling you I'm sure of what you're  thinking. Mozzarella sticks... Texas Roadhouse? And, sure, you would be right, this is certainly an odd combination. I come here for the onion flower, not mozzarella sticks. I think cheddar, not mozzarella. But you know what? IHOP's Mozzarella Sticks- 7/10 crowns These are literally the *same* exact mozzarella sticks as Applebee's. I should just redirect you to that review. Speaking of  which ... Also, does that mean that IHOP is breakfast Applebee's?? The breading: Ok, girl, is there really much to say? Real bread crumbs. Good. The only thing about these breadcrumbs that isn't really my favorite is the cheese to breadcrumb ratio. There's no problem with having a lot of cheese, but my lactose a** would like more breadcrumbs to balance out the outrageous amount of dairy. The cheese: Anyway, so, the cheese always slaps.  Applebee's Crispy Cheese Bites- 1.5/10 crowns Applebee's is already on thin ice because they have once again raised their dine for two meal price from 2 for $22 to 2 for $24. ***Update 06/29/2023 2 for TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS NOW.  Utter jail. Just go to Chili's at that point because in their 2 for $25 dine meal, you get an appetizer, two entrees AND a dessert.  ***Update 06/29/2023 This Chili’s deal doesn’t exist anymore and for that they are on thin ice. There are just so many things working against these cheese bites. First, Applebee's already has a fried cheese option, the classic mozzarella sticks. These are also expensive AND they are not eligible for the half priced appetizers deal. Applebee's really fumbled the bag.
