The breading: Like it was fine, I guess. For sure from a freezer, but nothing more or less than I expected.

The cheese: The cheese was good! They were very hot so the cheese was still stretchy.

The sauce: Ok, the sauce was absolutely FREEZING. They keep that place like a meat locker I could not stop shivering. But the flavor! Very good! The sauce makes up most of the stars, let's keep it at that.

$5.50 for five mozzarella sticks? Thank u, next.

 Texas Roadhouse Twisted Mozzarella- 6/10 crowns   I am once again telling you I'm sure of what you're  thinking. Mozzarella sticks... Texas Roadhouse? And, sure, you would be right, this is certainly an odd combination. I come here for the onion flower, not mozzarella sticks. I think cheddar, not mozzarella. But you know what? These were actually decent. Worth the try, if you will. The breading: Jumping right into things, these were obviously frozen. I have never seen that before, and still did not see them when i got my order, so that was misleading. IHOP's Mozzarella Sticks- 7/10 crowns These are literally the *same* exact mozzarella sticks as Applebee's. I should just redirect you to that review. Speaking of  which ... Also, does that mean that IHOP is breakfast Applebee's?? The breading: Ok, girl, is there really much to say? Real bread crumbs. Good. The only thing about these breadcrumbs that isn't really my favorite is the cheese to breadcrumb ratio. There's no problem with having a lot of cheese, but my lactose a** would like more breadcrumbs to balance out the outrageous amount of dairy. The cheese: Anyway, so, the cheese always slaps. Even though my friend and I ordered takeout from the restaurant and ate them about twenty minutes after we picked them up, the cheese pull was still present.  Applebee's Crispy Cheese Bites- 1.5/10 crowns Applebee's is already on thin ice because they have once again raised their dine for two meal price from 2 for $22 to 2 for $24. ***Update 06/29/2023 2 for TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS NOW.  Utter jail. Just go to Chili's at that point because in their 2 for $25 dine meal, you get an appetizer, two entrees AND a dessert.  ***Update 06/29/2023 This Chili’s deal doesn’t exist anymore and for that they are on thin ice. There are just so many things working against these cheese bites. First, Applebee's already has a fried cheese option, the classic mozzarella sticks. These are also expensive AND they are not eligible for the half priced appetizers deal. Applebee's really fumbled the bag. The breading: The crust was a fried coating which does not necessarily have to be a bad thing, but these are just bland! No flavor.
