Sonic Mozzarella Sticks

Image
Sonic Mozzarella Sticks- 8/10 crowns Ok, so these mozzarella sticks were really good! I wish that when I ate them, they were hotter, but I was overall satisfied from this mozzarella experience. The breading: The breading was very crunchy, and it looked like real breading instead of a fried coating (which is not bad, but crunchy is better). Also, the breading has different flavors with herbs like basil and breadcrumbs which are similar to, but not as good as, the Edison Diner, my holy grail. The cheese: I believe that had I eaten these as soon as they were bought, there would have been a great cheese pull. The cheese was very good and I was not disappointed with the flavor. Even somewhat cold to lukewarm, this cheese still had something of a cheese pull. The sauce: Ok, this marinara came in a little sauce container like the ones they use for bbq sauce or honey mustard, taking away from the experience, but I feel to judge Sonic of all places for that is not fair. Anyway, the sauc

Frank's Pizza and Restaurant's Mozzarella Sticks

Frank's Pizza and Restaurant's Mozzarella Sticks- 7/10 crowns While I was not into these mozzarella sticks when I first tried them, thinking back on that experience, I have to say they were good! Definitely give it a try, I think they were $7 for eight, so if you have the coin you should try. The breading: This was real breading! Not like the fried shell type of coating, which is not bad by any means but indicates to me that their origin was the freezer. I did enjoy the flavoring, though the crust was a little on the thinner side. The cheese: This cheese for sure had a good cheese pull (beautiful phrasing), and I liked that it was more gooey as opposed to the solid cheese stick from the freezer (again, not bad and I would totally finish them all). The sauce: This sauce was decent, but it was not like I saw stars when I ate it. like it was good, don't get me wrong, but I have had better. Overall, I would probably double dip. In conclusion, maybe  if I was ordering

Strawberry's Pub & Pizza Mozzarella Sticks

Strawberry's Pub & Pizza Mozzarella Sticks- 5/10 crowns Don't get me wrong, these mozzarella sticks were good, but it would not surprise me to hear that they were frozen and came out of a box and were tossed into a fryer by a person who probably would want to do anything but that (and yes, I finished all of them). The breading: The "breading" (?) of these mozzarella sticks was crunchy, as I prefer it to be. I did, in fact, put breading in quotes because unlike the others I have sampled, there were no crumby grains, but instead one crunchy shell. I did like the flavor though. The cheese: Another! Stringy! Cheese! Masterpiece! The sauce: This sauce had a good flavor, but was overall thin and runny, unlike the sauce they use on the pizza. I was a fan of the flavor, but it did make the mozzarella stick soggy if you let it sit for a few seconds. In conclusion, I would definitely not spend my own money on these because they are hecka expensive for only SIX (6!

Edison Pizza's Mozzarella Sticks

Edison Pizza's Mozzarella Sticks- 6/10 crowns I will start off by saying these definitely came out a bag from the freezer, but I'm not picky. Like, a worker probably did not want to fry (???) these, and I am OK knowing that. The breading: The breading was more like a crunchy shell, and not actual breading. I'm fine with it, not the best. The cheese: If you have been a follower of this blog, then you know I enjoy stringy cheese, not when it is more solid and unmoving. Being from the freezer, these were for sure not stringy and more like a solid piece of string cheese, but overall, not the worst. The sauce: This sauce was really good! I did not find it to be too thick or overpowering, instead to be of a medium consistency, with a lot of flavor. Easily the best part of the experience. For me, these were very reminiscent of the mozzarella sticks Strawberry's presented us with, but the sauce was much better. In conclusion, I would not by these on my own, but seeing

Applebee's Mozzarella Sticks

Applebee's Mozzarella Sticks- 7/10 crowns These mozzarella sticks that I had on Friday night were better than I remember them to be, though that may just be because the were fresh, as I ordered them as part of the half apps deal. The breading: The breading was crunchy and very flavorful, and I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed them. The coating was not crisp overall, but I can forgive this as it did not devalue my overall experience. The cheese: Finally another cheese that is gooey and stringy! This type of cheese is always superior and preferable as it indicates to me that the mozzarella stick is more fresh, and this effect cannot come from a frozen mozzarella stick (at least in my experience it doesn't). The sauce: This sauce was thicker and warm and also fresh. It has a nice flavor that is easily the second best I have tried since starting this blog. Like, it will more likely than not be the cause of the stomach ache you get later on (or is that from the greas
